MELA Foundation, Inc. http://www.melafoundation.org DREAM HOUSE CONTINUES Lower Manhattan is coming back to life and its reaffirmation in the aftermath of the tragedy of September 11th. The Dream House reopened as scheduled on September 22nd and continues to be open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 2pm to midnight, providing a harmonious and inspiring respite from the chaos without, and a chance to reflect upon the powers within us all. Admission $4 / Members FREE. MELA Memberships start at $30 and include discounts on recordings and publications we sell. As always, we seek volunteers to train as monitors of the Dream House. See the Call for Volunteer Monitors. Subways: #1 and #2 trains to Franklin Street / A, C, or E trains to Canal Street / #6, J, M, N, R, W, Z trains to Canal Street (N, R from 10/28/01). The Dream House is located below Canal Street, on Church between Franklin and White Streets. Vehicular traffic is now unrestricted from 6pm to 5am weeknights and all hours on weekends. Taxis are now permitted 24 hours. Be advised that personal vehicles are still restricted on weekdays. |
